2. Access logs and technical data

When you visit this website, the hosting provider and associated server infrastructure may process technical information such as your IP address, date and time of access, requested pages and files, browser/device information and error messages. These data are used to deliver the website securely, diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse.

The actual hosting provider, server locations and log retention periods depend on the hosting contract and must be confirmed by the operator before the site goes live.

3. Contact form and email enquiries

When you contact us using the form, we process your name, email address, subject and message to respond to your enquiry and, if appropriate, take steps relating to a potential purchase. Please do not transmit confidential, highly sensitive, payment-card or access information via this form.

To forward the enquiry to office@kc-carcare.ch, the form uses FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), an external form forwarding provider. On submission, the information you enter is transmitted via HTTPS to FormSubmit and forwarded to our email inbox. The provider may also process technical information needed to prevent spam and abuse. FormSubmit is an independent third-party service. Processing outside Switzerland and possible international disclosure of data cannot be ruled out; we cannot confirm the provider's exact processing locations or safeguards. If you prefer not to use this provider, contact us directly by email at office@kc-carcare.ch. The contact form will only deliver messages once the recipient has completed the provider's one-time email confirmation.

4. Language preference

Your language selection (German or English) is stored in your browser's local storage using the key kc-carcare-language. The selection is retained on return visits in the same browser until you change it or clear the website data. This preference does not, by itself, transmit the language choice to our server.

5. Images, video and fonts

Images and design files are loaded from this website's own directory. No YouTube video is currently embedded. The "YouTube Coming Soon" section is a static announcement only. This version does not include Google Analytics or advertising tracking pixels. It uses local and device-installed fonts rather than externally hosted web fonts.

6. External links and online store

The website contains links to third-party websites such as the KC CarCare online store and, when configured, social media profiles. When you follow a link, you leave our website. The external provider's privacy policy applies. No social media feeds or third-party video players load automatically.

7. Recipients and international transfers

Where necessary for the operation of this website, personal data may be shared with hosting and IT providers, the external FormSubmit forwarding provider and email providers. International disclosure of personal data is subject to the conditions of the Swiss FADP. Transfers to countries without adequate protection may require specific contractual or statutory safeguards. The actual countries and safeguards must be verified against the providers used before launch.

We retain enquiries and correspondence as long as necessary to respond to them or comply with applicable legal retention obligations. Security measures such as access restrictions and HTTPS encryption of the published website are intended to protect against unauthorised access. Actual retention and deletion schedules depend on hosting, the email system and business requirements and must be operationally determined.
